Disclosure: This post is NOT sponsored; I just really love my Happy Planner!
As a busy work-at-home Mom, I have a lot of flexibility, but I also sometimes find it hard to focus. I’m pretty good at keeping home and business events scheduled in my digital calendar, but late last year I realized that just wasn’t cutting it. For some reason, I was getting bogged down in the little stuff… taking too long to accomplish small tasks and just plain feeling demotivated.

Then I stumbled upon The Happy Planner one night when I was browsing Pinterest. It looked interesting, so I visited my local Michaels store and picked one up.
Six months later, it’s safe to say I’m obsessed!

I love my Happy Planner because the creative opportunities are endless! The Happy Planner sticker books – which I’m totally addicted to – come in many different themes: productivity, quotes, rainbow, and more. (If you’re a child of the 80s like me – when sticker books were all the rage – you’ll love to indulge and feel like a kid again!)

Being an artist at heart, I am a visual person and love creating beautiful things. Spending a few minutes each day on my agenda, using colourful pens and fun, inspirational stickers, gets my creative juices flowing. I’m not only motivated but also ready to take on the day and check tasks off my to-do list!

Tips for Staying Motivated
There are still some days when motivation doesn’t come easily. If you find yourself in the same boat, I’ve got a few tools and tricks to help you stay on track:
1. Change up your work environment.
When I’m feeling stuck or lazy, I head to a local coffee shop, where I can connect to their WiFi and (hopefully!) get some work done.2. Take a few minutes to meditate and get yourself centred.
Meditating for as little as three minutes can change the course of your day! I like to use a guided meditation app like Aura or Headspace; both are free and available for iOS and Android devices.
3. Find a creative outlet to get your juices flowing.
Designing my Happy Planner is my daily dose of creativity, but there are lots of other options like bullet journaling, scrapbooking, photography, writing poetry, etc.

Thanks, Alicia! I live in Canada so, unfortunately, ordering from the Happy Planner store is really expensive – shipping is crazy.
