Disclosure: MLSE hosted my family during the Santa Claus Parade, but I did not receive monetary compensation for writing about my experience. As always, all opinions are my own and I only share honest reviews with my readers.
Living in Toronto, I’m lucky to be near all the action at Christmastime. The world-famous Santa Claus Parade is one family tradition, in particular, that we all love. We started going when my eldest child was a toddler, and have gone every year since.
Last year was very special, because my daughter and I were honoured to participate in the parade; she was on a float and I was walking alongside. It really was a magical experience. (Boy, did I get my 10,000 steps in that day!)
This year, we enjoyed every minute of the parade from the sidelines…with hot chocolate to keep us warm!
Yes, the Santa Claus Parade is a magical event, but it takes lots of volunteers and fundraisers to make it happen. One such fundraiser is the Holly Jolly Fun Run, a 5K event where participants run along the same route as the parade, showing their festive spirit as parade goers cheer them on. What a way to get in the Christmas spirit!
MLSE has been a proud sponsor of the run for the past three years, and all proceeds from the Holly Jolly Fun Run are donated to the Santa Claus Parade (which is a not-for-profit organization). How awesome is that?
If you’re interested in participating in the Holly Jolly Fun Run next year, be sure to check out the event website. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a newbie, the Holly Jolly Fun Run is for you!
Like it says on the run website… “It may not be the longest. It may not be the hardest. But it is the funnest.”
