Obsessed.

That’s the word I’d use to describe my family when it comes to Star Wars. You may have heard of a little movie called The Force Awakens. It’s the highly anticipated seventh episode in the Star Wars franchise, and it promises to be THE movie event of the year.

Adults and kids, alike, are excited about this movie not only because of the compelling storyline, but because it spans generations.

My husband remembers standing in line for hours to get tickets to Star Wars (aka Episode IV) in the ‘70s, and being completely enthralled watching it for the first time. My kids (ages eight and five) are already huge fans, and are just as excited to see the new movie as their Dad was to see the original. (Thanks to technology, though, we don’t have to stand in line!)

Whether you’re a new or long-time fan, you’ll want to brush up on the storyline before the new movie comes out. With the addition of The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels – two tv series that fill in some of the story gaps between the movies – there’s a TON of background information that the average fan wouldn’t know.
