Halloween has come and gone and now it’s time to figure out what to do with all that leftover candy!
Since I love getting crafty, I came up with this cute idea to make holiday decorations with it.
You will need:
– sugar candies like Skittles, gum balls, ju jubes or any other brightly coloured sweets
– wooden ornaments or other festive wooden shapes (if you don’t have any wooden ornaments, you could use this recipe to make salt dough shapes)
– hot glue gun
– sprinkles and/or glitter (optional)
Set your candy on the ornament and, once you get a design you like, simply hot glue the pieces in place.
Fill in blank spots, if any, with glitter or sprinkles. It’s as easy as that!
Happy crafting!!
Cool idea! Just have to make sure that my daughter knows she can’t eat these ornaments!
This is a great idea! Thanks for sharing!
What a cute craft to do with the kids! 🙂
Thanks, Cheryl! My kids had fun making them…and sneaking a few candies to eat aling the way. lol
You’re welcome…glad you like it!
Ha! Yes!! My son asked a few times if he could eat them…I reminded him he would be eating glue. lol
It looks so yum 🙂
