Winter.
The mere mention of it makes my skin crawl. Literally. (All you eczema sufferers know what I mean!)
I have nothing against winter per se… it’s just that the cold temps and dry air make my eczema-prone skin a nightmare to deal with. From cracks on my fingers to chapped, flaky lips, I’m usually done with winter before it’s barely begun.
For years I tried all different kinds of lip balms, in the hopes I’d find one that I love. Really love.
The ‘I want to stash it away in case it ever gets discontinued’ kind of love. And I spent many years looking, before I found THE ONE.

Top (L-R): Strawberry Sorbet, Summer Fruit; Middle: Blueberry Acai; Bottom: Blackberry Nectar, Coconut Vanilla
Why I love eos
Chock full of ingredients like shea butter and vitamin E – and FREE of gluten, parabens, petrolatum and phthalates – eos lip balm has me hooked.
It’s not only all-natural and 95% organic, but it goes on like a dream…so smooth. The flavours are to-die-for (my favourites are pomegranate raspberry and coconut milk) and the cool sphere shape makes it fun to put on. In fact, my kids love it so much, they each have their own!
And, wouldn’t you know, they make awesome hand cream, too. I received some in my stocking from Santa a few years ago and loved it! The consistency is good – not too thick or thin – and sinks in quickly, so I’m not left with greasy hands. Bonus: the container is thoughtfully designed and has a great snap lid that won’t open unless you want it to. (I’ve had other brands leak in my bag… Not. Fun.)
For those times when you’re sans purse, and don’t want to have a sphere bulging in your pocket, you can carry an eos Smooth Stick. (Nice move, eos… I was waiting for that!)
I may just have to get this limited-edition Breast Cancer Awareness Collection; it has all of my faves!
Next on my list to try is eos shaving cream… I’ve heard good things. 🙂
I’ve not tried these before but every time I see them I think about it. So maybe it’s time I purchase one and give it a try.
