I was lucky enough to join a lovely group of fellow bloggers for an evening hosted by Lena, from Listen to Lena, and Fisher-Price.
It was so nice to enjoy a few glasses of wine (thanks for driving, Maya!) and delicious food with great friends and new acquaintances. I’m a social butterfly, so it’s a treat when I get the chance to meet bloggers who I feel like I know, but have never actually met. And this was one of those times. We ate, we drank, we talked family and blogging… what a fun night.
Of course, it wouldn’t have been complete without a few words from our lovely hostess, Lena (below), who opened up her gorgeous home and made us all feel so welcome. And, being the shopper that she is, there were lots of amazing Fisher-Price toys on display to help us check everyone off our holiday gift-giving list. I don’t know of a more perfect way to shop than this!
I loved seeing all of the vintage toys that are still in production, as well as previewing new items that aren’t yet on shelves. Do you remember the popcorn popper and vintage telephone? (I still have mine from when I was a kid!) Well, Fisher-Price still makes them. Quality classics like that never go out of style. 🙂
I’m Done Having Babies, But…
If you’re a sucker for fabulous prints, you’ll know why I swooned over this 4-in-1 Rock ‘n’ Glide Soother (below). I love the fabric and how this appeals to all babies, whether they like to rock or prefer a gliding motion (either front-to-back or side-to-side – it does both!). If you have an infant in your life, this is one piece of baby gear you wouldn’t mind showing off. My friend Maya swooned over this too, but she’s got the perfect reason to get one… her 14-week-old baby boy.

What a wonderful night to relax, enjoy ourselves and celebrate the season. I was also thrilled that many of the items that were on display that night were donated to charity… a lovely and fitting way to start off the holidays.

I still want tha. 4-in-1 Rock 'n' Glide Soother. Not only is it super functional, it's also very chic. That's one of my favourite features of Fisher-Price's new line up of baby gear.

Wow! Sounds like a great time! I love Fisher-Price. I miss being a Fisher-Price Mom. Little One is now 6 and those days seem so far away. I wish I could spend some time with you and Maya next time I am in your 'hood!
