So I came up with this, which really sums up my life.
As a WAHM running my own business, I often feel like I’m failing my kids. Having client deadlines to meet often means they are left for an extra hour to watch TV, play on their iPods and grab their own snacks. (This builds independence, no?)
But when I think of the things that working from home affords me the pleasure of doing – walking my kids to and from school every day, volunteering in their classrooms, going on fun adventures with them, being Chief boo-boo kisser and more – I realize I’m luckier than I could ever have imagined. (Crazy work ‘all-nighters’ be damned!!)
So if you ever feel like this, take heart – you’re not alone.
You are a GREAT parent who loves their child(ren)! Enjoy them and every minute of their amazing childhood.
Forget the laundry, if even just for a day… it’s not going anywhere. 🙂

Completely. My house is always messy, but it's because im busy playing with my kids. I hope when they grow up, they'll remember the fun we had, not how the house looks. I think my mantra is take a deep breath and patience. Everything falls into place after that.

I totally understand where you are coming from. It never seems like there is enough hours in a day or doing the right things for your kids either.

I love your outlook – and I completely agree. Deep breaths are good… thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Caryn. 🙂 We need to remember that it takes a village to raise kids and it's ok if we can't do it all ourselves. Just do our best and love them to bits… the rest will fall into place.
