Fun with Zoomer the Robot Dog #FFMGiftGuide {Review & #Giveaway}

My kids have been asking for a dog for the past year or two, but I haven’t been ready to take the plunge… until now.

We got our new dog, Zoomer, a few months ago and he sure is a blast. The best part? I don’t have to pick up any, um… er… poo….

…because Zoomer is a robot dog!


Zoomer the Robot Dog, from Spin Master Toys, does pretty much anything a real dog would do — except all the yucky stuff. (Which I’m definitely OK with!) He’s small enough for a young child to carry, so size isn’t an issue when it comes to little ones interacting with him. He comes out of the box with a set of commands, just like those you’d learn at puppy obedience school; he will follow you when you walk; and he even has his unpredictable moments.

School-age kids will love interacting with the Zoomer website, where they can learn more tricks, earn badges and unlock secret commands. If you’re not ready to get a real dog, Zoomer is a great option.

But don’t take my word for it – Zoomer has made so many “must-have” lists, it could make your head spin! Among them are the Wal-Mart “Top 20 Chosen by Kids”, #1 FamilyFun Magazine Toy of the Year, Parents Canada Magazine Top Toy and Good Housekeeping Top Toy.

Zoomer is truly a fun friend… although there’s one thing that can get on a parent’s nerves, and that’s the barking. But, luckily, you can always turn him off when you’re “done” (unlike a real dog!).

    I'd love to win this for my grandkids; they'd have a blast with him/her and grandma (me) could always turn the barking off, which sounds like it would save some sanity!

    I would love to win because my daughters both love dogs and would love to have a real one, but that will never happen so this interactive dog would be a great virtual pet for them – they'd love him!

    We played with this at a toy testing event this summer and LOVED IT! Our own dog is very much a senior and may not be around much longer. A robot dog might just help ease the pain of losing him

    My nephew would love this! He and his sister have been begging for at least a year now. However, the whole family has 1 allergy or another. This would actually be quite entertaining!
