A New Favourite – Eco-friendly Cotton Kids’ PJs from OM Home / OM Baby #FFMGiftGuide {Review & #Giveaway}

As the Mama of a boy and a girl, there are very few items of clothing my children can share. While I do my best to buy some of the basics in unisex colours (black or navy winter boots, etc.), I’m often met with a less-than-enthusiastic reaction to my purchases from my older child. If you have a little girl, you’ll probably know what I mean. Many little girls would prefer their favourite colours (in my case, it’s pink or purple) instead of dull, old black.

So, when I came across a line of pyjamas that are Made in Canada, eco-friendly cotton (meets oeko-tex standards) and unisex , I thought I’d died and gone to heaven!

OM Home’s prints are unique and created in-house, which I personally love. In addition to their super-soft cotton, their dyes are also eco-friendly… something you can feel good about dressing your kids in!

If that’s not enough, all of OM Home’s patterns/colours are unisex, as I briefly mentioned above. As someone with experience trying to find good unisex designs, I can tell you that most companies don’t get it right. Either the prints are slightly too masculine, too feminine, or they’re just outright boring.  But, I’ve gotta tell you, these are AWESOME patterns that, somehow, look just as fitting on a boy as a girl. Admittedly, these are no $12 made-goodness-knows-where pyjamas, which you’d be lucky if they lasted six months.  Instead, you get a locally made, high-quality garment that can last through multiple children and still look as good as the day you got them.

I received a set of their Jasper 2-piece pjs, which my son loves. And, I love that they’re all cotton – nice and soft next to his skin. OM Home also offers one-piece pjs and pants, both of which come with fold-over socks. This allows the wearer to get two full sizes out of one garment; simply roll up the legs or cover the feet when they’re smaller, then roll them back down as they grow. That’s what I call good value for the money!  Because, being frugal isn’t just always about getting the cheapest item… it’s all about cost-per-wear (CPW).

    I recently received one of the hankie bandanas. I was so impressed with the quality. I definitely would love to try OM home pjs. Another product I like is the middleton row crib sheet in jade gray.

    I love the Jasper Cotton One-Piece PJ with Foldover Socks in orange. We have this piece for my son and he looks so good in it and I love the quality. Really sweet stuff!
