Since my youngest stopped nursing over a year ago, I have been a bit out of the loop about all things related to breastfeeding, but a neighbourhood friend of mine – who happens to have a nursing infant – mentioned that I should check out a great Mom-owned company called Mooms & Soof. She raved about the tunics made from high quality bamboo/cotton blends that come in both nursing and non-nursing styles, and said they’d be perfect to feature in my Holiday Gift Guide. So I did!
Started by Zia Lakdawalla, a clinical child psychologist and a Toronto based mother of two, Mooms & Soof came about when Zia had her first child and realized she could fill a need for simple and classically designed tunics for mothers that flatter a post-partum body.
Mooms & Soof tunics are made from the highest quality eco-friendly fabrics and have invisible zippers under the bust to allow for easy and discreet feeding.
The fabric is super-soft, the colours are fab (not just the boring basics), and the “Made in Canada” label is something you can feel good about. Plus, the length is great for being able to wear comfy pants, like leggings, underneath without feeling self-conscious. Tunics come in short- and long-sleeve styles and – bonus! – the nursing version can be worn pre-baby, while pregnant, and post-partum.
This versatile garment would make a great addition to any woman’s wardrobe – you don’t even have to be a Mom to enjoy Mooms & Soof tunics!
One lucky FFM reader will win their very own tunic (winner’s choice of nursing or non-nursing style), courtesy of the awesome Mooms & Soof!
