Put Your Unique Mark on a Special Gift – Luxe Design Fingerprint Jewellery #FFMGiftGuide {Review & #Giveaway}

When it comes to buying gifts for my hubby, I’m usually at a loss. Occasionally, I get a flash of brilliance, but those moments are rare. In fact, it’s become a bit of a joke between us that my gifts for him are often uninspired (well, he thinks it’s funny; me… not so much). But what’s a girl to do when her spouse buys whatever he needs, when he needs it? (I mean, seriously… give a girl a break!) So, other than that $700 handmade leather briefcase he’s been coveting (no, I won’t spend $700 on a briefcase!), I had no idea what to get him from me and the kids for Christmas. 
That is, until I talked to Joanne at Luxe Design Jewellery.

Needless to say, I was extremely interested when Joanne told me about a new line of products she would soon be offering – fingerprint jewellery.  I love the idea of having something that’s one-of-a-kind, something no one else has. And what is more unique than a fingerprint? 🙂
Now, I will admit – my automatic reaction was to covet a fingerprint pendant for myself (see image above), but then remembered that I was looking for a special present for my husband, not me! When I saw the keyring option (shown below), I knew I had found the perfect gift. (Cuff links, shown above, are also available… they’re fab!)
The silver fingerprint kit arrived in the mail and contained the molding clay, easy-to-understand, detailed instructions on how to create the fingerprint impression(s), plus tissue paper, mini plastic bags, and a box to send them back in – and it came in hot pink packaging no less! (There’s style even in the smallest of details – love that!) The frugalista in me was thrilled to see that the kit allows for one large impression or two smaller (child’s) impressions, so if you’ve got two kids, you can split the clay and not have to buy a second kit!
  
My kids were so excited about lending a hand (pun intended!) in creating their Daddy’s gift. The impressions were easy to do and I wasn’t too worried about how pronounced they were, because the product page mentions how younger children have shallower, less developed fingerprints.
Once the impressions were made, I left them to harden overnight, then sent them back the next day. The process was so stress-free – the return postage label was included in the kit, so all I had to do was seal up the envelope, and pop it in the mailbox. 
I know my husband will love this gift because it suits the practical side of him (who couldn’t use a key ring?) and it also appeals to the sentimental, teddy bear side. This is the perfect choice – something he can carry around every day that will remind him of his greatest loves.

    I would choose the pendant..:-) And gift it to my husband, but the tag on the box would Say To Grandpa from Mason.. because Mason is our first grandchild born last March and this will be his first Christmas….grandpa wears a chain and medal that his late father wore all his life, I added charm to it from me, and now I could add another from his first Grandson….he would wear it every day…. absolutely for certain..:-)
