Luved Clothing – ‘Leo’ Cardigan #FFMGiftGuide {Review & Giveaway}

As a Mom, I find myself fighting the urge to wear yoga pants, even if I’m going to playgroup with my son. But I know I’ll be zooming trucks around a make-believe construction site and playing with him in the sandbox, so it’s hard to justify wearing “nice clothes” when I really just want to be comfortable.

This is where Luved Clothing comes in.

I’ve written about my love of Luved before, and it is still going strong! The charcoal grey Cole cardigan that I reviewed in 2011 is still one of my fav garments; in fact, it’s my go-to topper when I want to warm up and feel cozy. The thing about Luved garments is that they are so darn easy… easy to wear, easy to launder and, most of all, they look good! And, in case you aren’t familiar with the concept behind Luved, it’s all about clothing that’s designed to look good on every body type. Luved clothes give you the choice to wear them in the way that best suits you. Each style on their website is modeled in various ways, highlighting the fact that the clothes are designed to let your personality shine through.

This season’s lineup is full of relaxed, yet stylish, options for all body types and sizes. The one thing that has changed since my last review is the material. It used to be comfy cotton/polyester blend, but now it’s a super-soft organic 100% cotton. I loved the old fabric, but the new material is even better – plus it’s organic, which you can feel good about.

When trying to decide which style I’d review, it was tough to choose between the Hunter, Micah and Jax tops. They each have a certain feature I like – Hunter’s funnel neck and long length; Micah’s banding at the hip; Jax’s gathered back and cowl neck – there is something to love about each of them.

Another style I really love is Leo, but its length and hemline is similar to the Cole I already own, so that put it out of the running. 🙂

In the end, though, I chose Hunter. Its versatility and long, straight silhouette sealed the deal for me; I can wear a long sleeve under it in the colder months, and a tank top underneath when it’s warm. Plus, it goes great with leggings or skinny jeans, making it a new go-to piece that won’t leave me feeling too exposed (no butt-crack here! LOL) when I’m bending down to play with my son. (Review note: I wore the coral Hunter to play group last week and received a compliment on it from another Mom – woot! See, I told you… comfy and stylish! 😉 This cardigan would make the perfect gift for any woman on your holiday list. With no sizes to worry about (it’s one-size-fits-all!), you can’t go wrong with this perfect hybrid of comfort and style.

    I'd definitely keep it for myself, except I think I should probably give my winnings to my "sister-in-law" because she'll be joining us for Christmas this year and I think she'd really like one of these pieces. Maybe the Hunter?!
