Cineplex Holiday Family Favourites: Frugal Movie Fun #FFMGiftGuide {Review & #Giveaway}

It would be an understatement to say my family loves movies.   

It’s practically an addiction.

To be fair, it stems from a tradition we started when our oldest child was just big enough to sit through a full-length film – family movie night. Every Friday we eat pizza (with carrot sticks!) for dinner, then get in our jammies and cuddle in for a movie – usually with popcorn. 🙂

Because of this, my kids are downright movie buffs. They’re great at rhyming off one-liners from their favourite films, and making us laugh with their endless character impressions.

Needless to say, we love the theatre. And, this holiday season, Cineplex is making it easier for every family to enjoy some movie fun with their Cineplex Front Row Centre Events holiday themed Family Favourites. For only $2.50 per ticket, families can enjoy any one of these three movies on the big screen – The Polar Express, Arthur Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. (If you love movies as much as my family, you might want to go to all three!!)

        

The holiday-themed Family Favourites are shown each Saturday at 11 a.m. for the first three weeks in December. What a fabulous (and frugal) way to get into the holiday spirit with your family!

Another holiday tradition of mine is The Nutcracker. Whether I read the storybook or go to the ballet, I love revisiting this fantastical, timeless story at the holidays. This year, Cineplex is offering families the opportunity to watch the Royal Opera House’s live performance on the big screen, for two dates only (Dec. 12 & 22). If you love The Nutcracker, consider taking your family to experience it as well.

    The Polar Express is our families favourite Christmas movie… We watch it every year at my brothers on Christmas eve… so it would be great to have here in our home for us to enjoy at any time.

    From the movies available The Grinch would be our choice. Another nice Christmas movie that would be enjoyable to watch would be Prancer. It was always a favorite of my children and we watched it every Christmas.
