We received a few games from Spin Master to try – Boom Boom Balloon, Hedbanz Act Up and Logo Party.
Because my kids are 3.5 and 6.5 years old, the one that appealed to them the most was Boom Boom Balloon. The recommended age is 8+, as the game requires adult assistance to assemble it. But once that part is done, I’d say most kids aged 5 or 6 and up could play it (they need to be able to count and roll a die). My kids got such a kick out of clicking the sticks and would erupt into giggles when they thought they would be the one to pop the balloon. ๐
About Boom Boom Balloon…
Itโs Boom Boom Balloon, the crazy game where you take turns keeping the balloon from popping! Roll the die, and carefully push in a stick until it clicks. Watch as the balloon changes shape – will the next click make it pop? Itโs the ultimate game of anticipation where you never know when the balloon will go BOOM!
Hedbanz Act Up is also recommended for age 8+ and was fun for my oldest child, but too advanced for my little guy. ๐ It appealed to my daughter’s love of dramatic play (acting, miming, etc.) and she really liked it once she got the hang of how to describe a word through actions. It has won the Oppenheim Platinum Award and the Parents Choice Approved Award, so you know it’s going to be a hit in your home, too. ๐
About Hedbanz Act Up…
Hedbanz Act Up! is the fast-acting family game where everyone’s a star! Each player draws a Game Card and puts it in their headband for everyone else to see. On your turn roll the die – whoever’s headband matches your roll will act out clues to your card. Can you guess what’s on your head before time runs out? Hedbanz Act Up! is family fun for 2-6 players ages 8+. Act fast with Hedbandz Act Up!
Logo Party is a fun, creative and engaging game, but definitely appreciated by slightly older players, as many of the logos aren’t well-known to young ones. It is addictive and can turn on a competitive streak in anyone! At least four players are required to play (2 teams of 2 people), but it’s actually more fun if there are more players.)
About Logo Party…
Logo Party gives you four new exciting ways to play with the brands you love! Get your teammates to guess brands based on four different types of clues: Draw it, Describe it, Do it and Reveal it! Be the first team to reach the Logo Party Space and successfully answer a โReveal It!โ Card to win!
Win it!
One lucky FFM reader will win a copy of Boom Boom Balloon, courtesy of the fab folks at Spin Master Toys!
