Any parent’s worst nightmare is that something bad happens to their child. I’m so blessed and grateful to have never been put in that terrifying situation, to date. But I can only imagine what a parent goes through when their child is inflicted with a sudden illness and they find themselves being air lifted to one of the best children’s hospitals in the country.
As we speak, I’m on my way to visit a young family member who did just that last night. The moment I read this morning’s email, telling me of the illness, tears sprang to my eyes. I cannot tell you how thankful I am to have such amazing medical resources in Canada, and can only hope and pray that when I arrive there, all will be okay.
If prayer is part of your life, please say one for little Mary.

Oh my goodness! Sending a steady stream of prayers and thoughts for little Mary! It's heart wrenching to think of a child being in that situation and I'm also thankful that I haven't had to go through that with my kids (to date). My daughter's severe peanut allergy reaction was the scariest day of my life and I don't want to experience it again. Hope all is well soon for them!!!

I will be thinking of Mary, her family and yours during this trying time.
I am here if they want someone to listen or talk to. I can empathize with their terror.
