A few weeks ago I was treated to a lovely morning of pampering, courtesy of The Wellness Spot. This off-the-beaten-path spa is located in an unlikely spot, a little hidden gem that you’d be happy to stumble upon. Its calm, lovely interior belies its unassuming exterior.
My partner in crime for the morning was my friend and fellow blogger, Rachel, from Mom In Work PJs.
We started off with a manicure and pedicure, expertly done by Raj and Deanna. As some of you may know from reading a previous post, one of my New Year’s resolutions was to stop biting my nails, and up until this point I hadn’t been too successful, so you can only imagine the condition of my hands! I was amazed, however, at the nice job Raj did. My pedicure by Deanna was wonderful, too. I highly recommend getting a shellac top coat on your polish…my pedicure is still going strong on week three. π
After enjoying a cup of tea and a sweet treat during our nail treatments, we were escorted upstairs to get our facials and upper body massages. I’ve never been much of a facial kinda girl… my skin is sensitive and I usually don’t like to mess with it too much. But, lately, I’ve been getting terrible breakouts – maybe it’s the final hormonal drop? – and the facial was just the thing I needed to get my skin on the right track. The products they used were gentle and soothing… my face felt great afterwards. The shoulder, neck and head massage felt really relaxing, as well. It was the perfect ending to our spa adventure.
Many thanks to Inna, the owner of The Wellness Spot, for hosting us!

I've always wanted to try threading…but as a mother of 4 kids, under the age of 6yrs..any amount of pampering sounds like Heaven on earth.
