Make it A Joy to ShareTM with kids in need – Kinder® and The Children’s Miracle Network

April 15, 2012 by fabfrugalmama

When you become a Mom, everything changes.

There’s a quote that sums it up for me…

Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.

~ Elizabeth Stone

Ask any Mom and they’ll tell you it’s true. We live for our children, and from the first moment we look into their beautiful faces (even before that), they become our entire world.

Last weekend, my kids had a blast finding hidden Easter treats, many of which were Kinder eggs. The sheer joy on their faces when they uncovered a hidden gem under a sofa cushion or behind a table was priceless. I reveled in the excitement and joy of those moments, and reflected on how blessed I was to have healthy, energetic kids.

Sadly, some families aren’t so fortunate. For those with seriously ill children, a lot of love, hope and strength are needed to get them through. That, and the help of the Children’s Miracle Network who has been there to support them, through their partner hospitals, to provide the best care possible. This year, the maker of my kids’ favourite treat – Kinder® – has teamed up with Children’s Miracle Network to develop A Joy to ShareTM, a program to bring joy to children across Canada. And, they’re sharing heartfelt stories and experiences of ‘Hero Moms’ who have been affected by and benefited from the work of the Children’s Miracle Network on their Facebook page. I encourage you to check it out and share your own comments and thoughts. If, after reading the inspiring stories of Calla, Amira, Hayden, Ellie and Liam, you want to do more, visit the Children’s Miracle Network to make a donation. ☺

There are so many ways you can help share the joy. Not only are you supporting kids with your purchase of Kinder products, but you can also volunteer in your community, donate resources or services locally, or help your kids set up a lemonade stand to raise money for those less fortunate. Spring is a season of renewal… there’s no better time to start teaching our kids to give back.

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter/Passover!

Disclosure: I’m part of the Kinder® Mom program and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog are my own.

I love that Kinder has teamed up with Children's Miracle Network – what a great way to teach children about helping others.

We love Kinder in our family, and I love companies that team up with charities that fit their niche.
