It’s a great day today!! Actually, it’s a great day EVERY day… but today is just really amazing in a different way. I’m heading off to my first social media conference, ShesConnected Conference 2011, in a few minutes.
ShesConnected is a great forum for bringing brands and women bloggers together to learn from each other and build relationships. I’ve already made some great connections over the past month with wonderful companies, and I’ll be sharing reviews (and a few giveaways!) in the next little while from them. I’m sure after attending this conference I’ll have even more exciting brands and products to share with you. As always, I will only blog about products I’d use myself… if it doesn’t pass the FFM test, you won’t hear about it!! 🙂
This is a huge milestone for me because it was only a year ago that I started this blog, yet a lot has happened since then. I’ve been lucky enough to have met some amazing “digital” women (you know who you are!) on Facebook, Twitter and through my business, where I work on clients’ marketing and social media initiatives. This is a huge milestone because I’m doing something I love to do and get to spend a lot of time at home with my growing family. (Other than the less-than-ideal amount of sleep I get each night, I really can’t complain! 😉
So, I’m off to my first *work* conference in over two years (since I left the corporate world), and I’m very excited… excited to learn, to be inspired, to be motivated and encouraged. But most of all, I’m excited because this feels like the start of a whole new adventure – what an amazing adventure it will be!
