Halloween is only a few days away and, for once, I’m on the ball. My daughter’s costume has been purchased (no, I’m not driving myself to insanity trying to make it like I did last year!!) and I’ve decided to make cookies for her to hand out to her classmates at preschool.
I think it’s taken me almost three years to figure this all out, so I thought I’d share a few Halloween resources with you!
Smilemakers / Smilemakers Canada
This is a fabulous online retailer of themed giveaways. Many of you have probably seen their merchandise at your doctor’s or dentist’s office – those toy “treasure boxes” filled with tchotchkes that kids love. Well, not only do they have toys, but also stickers, pencils, bottles of bubbles, etc. And, if you join their email list, you’ll be sent great seasonal offers like percentages off your order (as much as 30%!) and free shipping.
Party Packagers (Canada) / Party City (U.S.)
I bought my daughter’s Cinderella costume at Party Packagers for $24 – I couldn’t even make it for that price. And, that’s a cheap price to pay for my sanity! 😉 Stores such as these are great not only at Halloween, but for buying kids’ dress-ups all-year-round. And, I’m definitely going there when it’s birthday time…a one-stop-shop for all the balloons, plates, napkins and loot bags I’ll need!
